May 10th, 2007 - Wow, this past year has flown by!
Click's training in Agility is all starting to fall into place. Probably because he is finally understanding my "handling". :-p Our latest project was weave poles, and in just a few short sessions Click was powering through 12 poles with a solid, powerful stride. Now we just have to get them proofed - I'm looking for 100% reliable no matter what - and seeing how much more speed we can add. I'm sure more speed will come with more confidence. Click will particapate in a few local Agility demo's with our Agility club this year and attend a few trials (spectator only!) to get him used to the more hyped up trial enviroment. He will probably make his Agility debut in 2008.
Click is also progressing very well in herding, and we plan to make our debut in USBCHA Novice sometime in the summer of '07. Click has a wonderful style and way about his sheep. He can read sheep like words on a page and has fantastic natural pace. He is naturally wide, but is also fine working sheep in small spaces. Click is wonderfully biddable, and is such a joy to train.
Click is a superly driven, loving, biddable, focused dog. He brings more happiness to my life than I could have imagined. Click is very much a "glass half full" kind of guy, and his happy attitude and smiling face are highly contagious! He is the perfect blend of wired, focused drive when needed, and sweet and cuddly when it's not. Click has a lovely temperment and earned his Canine Good Citizen with flying colors at barely 10 months of age. He is very easy going, socialible, and friendly with both humans and dogs. Click has never met a stranger and welcomes everyone into the house like they are a long lost friend.
In his work, Click is driven, powerful, and biddable. He gives 110% in everything, and would train all day if he could. He is a true Kamikaze, as he loves to do everything at mach speed with no regard for life or limb. If breaking one's leg at 3 months old doesn't prove this, I don't know what does. :-)
Many thanks to Fiona Robertson for sending me this perfect boy! Not many days go by that I don't wonder how such an average person as me was given the gift of such an above average dog! Click truely is a star.
